Tired with Bloating In Stomach? Check Out Reasons for Bloating

Everything You Need To Know About Bloating Causes, Symptoms and Treatments

1. Lifestyle Modification

I am a firm believer that our lifestyle is the major factor that determines our health. The good news is that by making small changes in your lifestyle, you can reduce the symptoms of abdominal bloating and even eventually can get rid of bloating.

As we mentioned earlier that gas or swallowing air is the biggest reason of abdominal bloating so you can reduce it in the following ways:

  • Cut chewing gum from your life. Because chewing gum allows you to swallow extra air which causes bloating later.
  • Reduce intake of carbonated or soft drinks.
  • Avoid such foods which cause gas such as vegetables from the cabbage family, beans and lentils.
  • Don’t eat fast. Try to eat slowly and don’t talk during eating. Avoid using straws during drinking.
  • If you are sensitive to lactose foods, then use lactose-free dairy products.

Note: One additional and the most important tip is that don’t eat at the fullest. Leave some space in your tummy while eating yummy foods.

Some researchers believe that probiotics can play an important role in the prevention and cure of abdominal bloating. You can use yogurt to relief bloating but remember researchers have a mixed review about the effectiveness of probiotics for bloating.

2. Massages

Massages can also help to reduce abdominal bloating. According to a study, a group of people with ascites were asked to do 15- minutes abdominal massage two times daily for three days. The massages helped them and their depression, anxiety and well-being were improved and consequently abdominal bloating symptoms.

3. Medications

If you have made lifestyle changes and introduced new foods in your diet and still you are not getting rid of bloating, then consult your doctor. Your doctor usually finds the medical reason of your bloating and recommends you medicine accordingly. Treatments may need anti-depressants, antibiotics or antispasmodics depending on your condition.

Bottom-line –

You can treat stomach pain and bloating by making little changes in your life and diet. If you continuously suffer from bloating after eating and don’t see any improvement in it, then consult your doctor.
